IN-PLACE SPRAYED FIREPROOFING MATERIAL INSPECTION AND TESTING

Services and Scope of Work - The scope of Metro’s work will include the following items:

• Review of project specifications and technical data sheets for familiarity purpose.
• Site visits by a Professional Engineer or a Senior Technologist.
• Visual inspection of the sprayed areas and re inspection, as required.
• In-place thickness and density determination (ASTM E605).
• Field Review Reports and Letter of Assurance, as required.

The number of trips to site will depend on the Contractor’s schedule and the quality of work. Also the number of tests will depend on the total area sprayed and available for inspection during each trip. Based on ASTM E605, one series of thickness measurements is required for each type of structural element for each floor or for every 10,000 square feet area.

Metro can carry out all inspection and testing work on an ‘as required’ basis:

• Sprayed Fireproofing Visual Inspection and Thickness Testing
• Density Determination (Field + Lab)
• Bond Test
• Review of Field Review Reports, Letter of Assurance, Consulting
